Ben began training as an instructor with the BDP in the fall of 2011 and since that time has very much enjoyed conducting a number of workshops with non-profit boards across the province.
He has been interested in the non-profit sector for a number of years including co-founding a non-profit while attending the University of British Columbia. His board experience began shortly after he moved to Calgary in September of 2010 at which point he took on the role of Treasurer for the Junior Chamber International Calgary Society. He is now President and continues to be passionately involved in all aspects of the society.
Ben completed an Honours Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from UBC and a Master of Arts in Financial Management from Durham. He currently works for Scotiabank as Private Banker and is excited about the opportunity to encourage good government and best practices in non-profits across the province.
Ben greatly enjoys travel, new languages, literature, and hearty discussion. His spare time is usually spent with good friends trying to discover more of what life has to offer.
