There is little doubt that nonprofits are in a time of drastic change in Alberta. Our economic rollercoaster is on the downswing. Demographic trends suggest that finding and keeping quality employees will become an increasing challenge. Expectations for service are ever changing. Are these all short-term cyclical trends, or does the future really look different for the sector?
Drawing on research, emerging trends, and day-dreaming speculation, this interactive and engaging workshop will bring together a variety of information and thoughts to help participants explore the dynamics that will shape the community sector in the years ahead. What is changing in Alberta’s nonprofit sector? What are the key challenges organizations are facing? What are some of the tricky questions we need to consider in the coming years?
