Joel has been the Coordinator of the Board Development Program (BDP) since September of 2012 and has worked as a Community Development Officer in the BDP office since 2007. His work with the BDP includes workshop facilitation, curriculum design, volunteer management, community consultations, and collaboration. Joel also chaired a committee that revised the BDP workbook “Drafting and Revising Bylaws” and has helped train over 160 volunteer instructors who conduct the BDP workshops. Before his work with the BDP, Joel worked on the executive team of a nonprofit organization in Alberta.
