Larissa Groch

As a fundraising professional for over 15 years and consultant since 2012, Larissa has successfully delivered campaign counsel and planning studies, fundraising program growth, mentorship and management to post-secondary, social services, arts and other clients and organizations. She specializes in building sustainable fund development programs and philanthropic culture, as well as delivering campaign leadership, interim management and team development.

Before consulting, Larissa was the first Development Manager for Decidedly Jazz Danceworks (2003-2011) and Development Associate at Vertigo Mystery Theatre (2001-2002) during its $6.92 million capital campaign.

Passionate about life-long learning, Larissa attained her Certified Fund Raising Executive professional accreditation in 2013. Her education includes the Business Essentials Program (“mini MBA”, University of Calgary), a National Program for Fundraising Education certificate (Mount Royal University) and a Bachelor of Arts degree (Honours English, University of Alberta). Larissa’s love for the charitable sector was sparked during her 11 years as a dancer and arts administrator with Canada’s Ukrainian Shumka Dancers. She is an enthusiastic volunteer with various community groups in Calgary and Edmonton and a keen traveler.
