Lisa Litz

Volunteerism is a way of life for Lisa. Since participating in Katimavik in her late teens, Lisa has volunteered extensively as a service volunteer, committee member and board director.  She is particularly drawn to groups tackling sustainability, diversity or civic engagement initiatives.

Lisa first became interested in governance while working part-time in a corporate governance job during university.  After completing her marketing degree, Lisa embarked on a career in strategic communications, helping businesses tell their stories.  Over the past five years she has transitioned into non-profit management, serving as contract Executive Director to a number of organizations ranging from industry and professional associations to a small charitable foundation.

Today Lisa serves as Executive Director of imagiNation 150, a non-profit engaging encouraging Canadians to participate in Canada’s 150th birthday by giving gifts and participating in conversations about Canada’s future. Some of her current volunteer work includes serving as a Volunteer Instructor for the Alberta Government’s Board Development Program and as a member of the Peer Review Panel of Imagine Canada’s Standards Program.
