Overview

After 5 years of online programming, we are back in 2024 with an in-person conference designed for board members, leaders, and staff in the non-profit sector to build and expand their skills and mindsets.

This year’s event will provide a variety of topics and learning opportunities to support you and your learning journey. There will be a blend of workshops, rapid-fire talks, facilitated discussions, and networking opportunities.

We are currently working on finalizing schedule including topics and presenters. A schedule for the conference will be posted here in the coming weeks.

  • Funding & Fundraising – exploring different funding options and ways to improve current funding initiatives.
  • Volunteers – ideas on developing a volunteer program, recruitment, and engagement.
  • Inclusive Practices for Non-profits – building cultures and practices that help staff and volunteers thrive.
  • Supporting your People – building leadership skills, fostering diversity, supporting mental health, creating wellbeing in the workplace.
  • Social Innovation & Social Enterprise – new models and approaches to creating impact on social services and societal needs.
  • Marketing & Social Media – tools and tactics to raise awareness and support for your organization.

Signing Up for Sessions

The Board Leadership Calgary planning committee is working behind the scenes to line-up our presenters for this year’s event. We are excited to offer learning tracks on foundational board development skills and several new learning tracks that explore operations, marketing and innovation themes to expand the capacity and thinking of non-profit organizations.

We will be announcing presenters on a rolling basis as they are confirmed, please check back on our website regularly for updates on topics and presenters.
